The department of Civil Engineering (CIVIL) was established in the year 2011- 2012. Civil Engineering plays a key role in the development of any field and special status in engineering education. Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of physical and naturally built environment, including works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings. Civil engineering is the oldest engineering discipline after military engineering, and it was defined to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering.

Curriculum

B.E Course in Civil Engineering involves design and construction of roads, bridges, railways & erection of large buildings. The course curriculum includes the study of basic engineering science and the syllabus is designed to introduce the student with a variety of tribulations encountered by civil engineers such as: structures, foundation, constructions, hydraulics and environmental engineering, works management and cost, transportation engineering, irrigation engineering etc.
